Economy and War
The federal projected budget is 3 trillion dollars. Of this, 3/4 of a trillion dollars is being spent exclusively on the military. America now spends more on the military than all other countries of the world combined. The projected budget, however, does not include spending for the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Because, as we all know, things are going so well over there . . .

I'm sure you're aware that a ton of social programs are being cut in the new budget as well. However, defense spending went way up this year. Bush is just padding the accounts of his corporate friends since it's his last year in office. Mission accomplished.
